The Hills

There is something deeply wonderful about the temporate rainforests of the Dendenongs, in Victoria. Referred to as The Hills, the ranges are only a quick hop to Melbourne city, yet stand as a gateway to something wild and untamed. Sitting between suburbia and farmland, the often steep mountain sides habour wildlife that is rarely seen outside virgin forests, with areas untouched since colonization. Tree ferns, mountain ash, creeks and waterfalls, it is no wonder some our greatest painters began their love of the bush here, with Arthur Streeton sourcing many a masterpiece here. It is a privelige to live amongst the wonder of this place, and try to capture it.
