Maybe it's inevitable that at some point every artist is inspired by the Impressionists. Landscapes have never been my thing - I mean just take a photo right? But here we are, and why? Well its the colour of course, the stroke, the vitality. Specifically the light! Here in the temperate rainforest of the Dandenong's the winter is long and the summer heavily filtered by the canopy, so light is at a premium. This is my little shot of Vitamin D in the midst of darkness.
